Hi!

I am Layne Cannon, a survivor of domestic violence. I was married to a man who, after a few years into our marriage, began to drink more and more and become abusive. I knew very little about alcoholism or abuse until I experienced the pain it brought for myself and my children. I saw how the stress and trauma began to affect my youngest son physically. At that point, I knew I had to do something. I chose FREEDOM and left that abusive lifestyle.

At the age of 50, I went back to college and obtained my Bachelors Degree in Psychology. I knew God had placed a call on my life to help other women who were experiencing abuse and felt hopeless like me. During the last 15 years, I have worked in two Domestic Violence Agencies and held a number of positions including Executive Director, Legal Advocate and Shelter Advocate to name a few. During this time, I facilitated support groups to encourage, educate and show the love of Jesus to many victims. My goal is to reach out to the broken and hurting with the good news of the restorative power of God through a relationship with Jesus, sharing the hope and healing that only He can give. I want everyone to find the joy, peace and freedom that comes when you encounter Jesus Christ and put your trust in Him!
